A young man was stabbed in the middle of the road Saturday night in Montreal.
The attack took place on rue Raymond, around 9:30 pm, near rue Galarneau, in the borough of LaSalle. Emergency services responded after a 911 call.
At the scene, police saw the victim, a 26-year-old man. He sustained a stab wound to the upper body.confirmed agent Véronique Comtois, spokeswoman for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The man was taken to hospital, but there was no fear for his life.
So far, the motive for the crime is not known and the police have not found any suspects.
According to the information we obtained, the victim was in Raymond Street and for an unknown reason, the suspect stabbed the victim. He allegedly fled after the attack.said agent Comtois.
The crime scene was secured to allow investigators from SPVM to study it.
The investigation is ongoing.
