Pascal Siakam was impressive with 37 points on Thursday, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 119-114 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Siakam had 23 points in the second half, along with 12 assists, 11 rebounds and 2 steals.

Gary Trent provided a serious help with 30 points for the Raptors, who have won 7 of their last 8 games. Precious Achiuwa added 20 points, including a career-high five 3-pointers.

Scottie Barnes gave up 13 points and 10 rebounds.

With Toronto (47-33) guaranteeing a top-6 finish in the East, Fred VanVleet got a break, following recent right knee issues. OG Anunoby missed the third consecutive game, the result of a bruise to the back of his right thigh. He should also be out on Friday, when the Raptors host the Rockets.

The Sixers took control quickly, leading 15-2. After a quarter they had a 33-26 cushion. In the half, the visitors ’priority was reduced to 4 points and after 36 minutes the score was 87-85 in favor of the Raptors.

Sixers winger Danny Green, who finally received his 2019 championship ring from the Raptors, made it 111-107 on a shot from long range, with 2:07 left on the clock.

Siakam responded by having the better of Joel Embiid, who ended the streak with a fingertip basket. Barnes quickly added a dunk, and then the Raptors stayed on course.

Embiid led the Sixers with 30 points. Tyrese Maxey got 22, Green 18 and Harden 13.
