Gabriel Hauche can say that it is now customary to score goals for Independiente with the Racing shirt. But even more is to make them Chilean. The 35-year-old striker, who returned to the pitch in the Avellaneda classic, scored him a great goal in the 8th minute of the first half from a corner kick from Emiliano Vecchio. He had already given him one like this in 2014 in a summer tournament, even at the beginning of the game.

That corner of victory was achieved by a play prepared by Fernando Gago on a previous free kick. Vecchio threatens to send a cross into the heart of the box, but he puts it to Tomás Chancalay at the near post and with a header, Sebastián Sosa makes an effort and leads him for a corner kick.

Vecchio runs it straight, the ball bounces in the center of the area, but Leonardo Sigali deflects it to the far post and Hauche has the malice and the clarity to see the opportunity to perform the maneuver to quickly define, generate surprise and set the goal. .

By January 2014 it had similarly converted to just one minute of play. On that occasion Sebastián Saja shoots long from the goal, the ball bounces at the edge of the wide area, Rojo’s defenders go long and Hauche hits the Chilean cross.

Beyond these many similars, Hauche is an executioner of the Devil himself. With the Academy shirt he played 13 duels against the neighbors of Avellaneda and scored six goals, including this Sunday afternoon which opened another warm classic at the Cilindro.
