The new technical director of Boca, Hugo Ibarra, provided this Friday the list of players who have concentrated for Saturday’s match against Talleres de Córdoba for the eighth round of the Professional Soccer League. And two weight absences were confirmed. There is no Carlos Izquierdoz, who is injured and is negotiating his departure after the tough clash with the Football Council, nor is there Gastón Ávila, who will be transferred to a Belgian club in the next few hours.
Izquierdoz, who lost the title to San Lorenzo after being one of the points of reference, raised his voice against Juan Román Riquelme and teammates in the meeting held to claim the prizes before the rematch against Corinthians, did not train together to his teammates throughout the week.
Izquierdoz reported a sprained left foot in training on Monday and an aggravated problem at the base of the fifth metatarsal, namely the big toe that was fractured in mid-March in the clash with Estudiantes in La Plata.
The case of Ávila is different, as the youth are about to leave the club. Royal Antwerp, from Belgium, presented an important offer for his pass in the past few hours and in a few hours his departure for European football will be finalized.
