Cordoba workshopsa, who has played seven games without winning, receives banfieldin one of the meetings that will complete the ninth date of Professional football championship (LPF).
The match, which will be played at the Mario Alberto Kempes stadium, will start at 7:00 pm, will be televised by ESPN Premium and refereed by Hernán Mastrángelo.
The Cordovan team led by Portuguese Pedro Caixinha have accumulated seven games without a win – they only won on their debut against Sarmiento de Junín -, have suffered four defeats and obtained two draws in the remaining games, so with 5 points it is one of the last in the tournament in progress, as well as being last in the annual ranking, with 16 units.
The team’s poor performance in the local tournament contrasts with its campaign in Copa Libertadores, where it stabilized in the quarter-finals and will look to advance to the semi-final against Vélez Sarsfield.
On the Banfield side, the irregularity it shows did not allow it to climb back into the positions, in which it is tenth with 12 points, and accumulates two games without a win, after the sensational victory obtained in the Bombonera against Boca in the sixth round (3- 0).
In their last two games, Banfield have lost at home to Unión (3-2) and also at home they drew against San Lorenzo (1-1).
The history between the two teams indicates that they have met 16 times, with 8 wins for the Drill, four for the T and four more draws.
