In addition to enabling the list of Traditional Independent GroupSection 3 of the Court of Appeal of Lomas de Zamora forced the ruling party to resume the electoral process which had been suspended.

“Let the Independent Athletic Club know that its electoral process has resumed, and it must allow the participation of the list promoted by the Traditional Independent Association”, reads the aforementioned ruling.

But Hugo Moyano, the club’s current president, had planned to challenge the decision before a higher judicial body: the Buenos Aires Supreme Court of Justice. Even if that idea still hangs over the leaders, their political group announced in a statement that this new ruling will not be appealed.

Faced with this reality, the The Electoral Commission has already agreed on a meeting for July 27th the three participating lists will determine the date of resumption of the electoral process which should have taken place in December.
