Once again, insecurity hits where it hurts the most. On Wednesday two underage attackers shot a 12-year-old boy on his way from school to his home in Ciudad Evita. Joaquín was about to lose his sight: the bullet went through his face. He entered through the right cheekbone and exited through the left ear.

Nobody will take away the painful memory. The wound will last. But in the darkest moments, sport appears as a good option to light up in the midst of so much darkness. After hearing the news, Boca Juniors has decided to invite the 12-year-old boy, a fan of Xeneizeto the Bombonera to attend a meeting.

They have already invited me to go on the pitch for the next match against Rosario Central. It’s a great gift, honestly it’s a dream “, the boy from La Matanza confessed excitedly in an interview with TN.

It is a match corresponding to the fourteenth day of the Lega Calcio Professionisti where Hugo Ibarra’s team will return to the locality after having faced the Agropecuario, tonight in Salta, for the Argentine Cup; and Racing, on Sunday at the Cilindro, for the national race.

When the fact of insecurity covered the news portals, the Boca players quickly tried to lift their spirits and made themselves available to Joaquín. While in hospital he received messages of encouragement from the captain of the Blue and gold, red framesand the Colombian striker Sebastiano Villa.

“That they sent me greetings is wonderful. They are both cracks. I was in the hospital and it was a tremendous joy, ”the boy said.

Also, another of the players who wanted to leave him a message was Franco Fabra who, before going with the Boca delegation to the province of Salta to face the Agropecuario de Carlos Casares for the round of 16 of the Argentina Cup, sent him a video.

“Hi Joaquin, friend. I send you a greeting and a big hug. I hope you are fine. We are so happy that you are alive. Thank God you’re here with us, brother, “the Colombian outsider said.

A great gesture from Boca Juniors, who reacted promptly and decided to invite the boy to visit the legendary Brandsen 805 stadium. It is also an example that sport can be the engine of positive changes in society.

The Ribera club will receive Central Rosary next Wednesday, for the 14th date of the Professional Football League from 21:30. The Xeneize, six points behind Atlético Tucumán, leaders of the tournament, are strong at home. Alla Bombonera has won five of the seven games played. In front it will be Rascal that has Carlos Tevez as a coach. Will idolatry weigh?

The attack on Joaquin

Once again, another story of insecurity. Of those to which, unfortunately, you already get used to it every day. And they are already tired.

Joaquín was attacked by two attackers last Wednesday at 6pm when they tried to steal his backpack on his way from school to his home in Ciudad Evita. They shot him in the face and the bullet passed through his face. He entered through the right cheekbone and exited behind the left ear. On Friday he was operated on at the Italian hospital of San Justo.

On Saturday, three days after the attack, the attackers were arrested. They are 16 and 17. They were transferred to a youth institution in La Plata. They had been filmed by a security camera when they attacked the victim, who, in testifying on the case, recalled that “he was touched from behind” while walking and that “it was all very fast”.

Since these are minors, the case is now in the hands of the prosecutor Emilio Spatafora. According to judicial sources, the criminals’ “inexperience” led them to “accidentally shoot” the child.

In relation to Joaquín’s desire to stay in the neighborhood, his mother was cautious: “It’s one step after another. Decisions that will arise day by day. We miss the emotional part, which can have that security to get back to his life, the school. He will decide. “

At the time of recalling the dramatic episode, Natalia was blunt: “It is literal that today I live with half of my heart. I feel that pain in my chest, which remained that day when he called me. It will cost me, but I will recover, all I have left to do I will do it for him. “

“They didn’t insult him, they didn’t hit him, they shot him directly in the face. I can’t believe it. It’s something that runs through us as a family, we don’t know how to continue. Because I feel like the life of a 12 year old boy years had been interrupted. My son is afraid, he is trembling permanently. It’s terrible, “she said.

After undergoing surgery and spending six days in the hospital, he was discharged at noon on Tuesday.

“I heard a hammer blow after the shot. I heard a noise in my head and a whistle. I hummed a song to feel that I was still conscious.” With those words, Joaquín told his parents how he felt after being hit in the face.

The boy continues his treatment with antibiotics, since, having some splinters, “the remedy encapsulates them to prevent damage”. In the dialogue with Canal 13, the boy expressed his resignation due to insecurity: “I want to move on, I want to live in another country, I don’t like the situation in this country. I want to leave the country and be fine“.
