Adidas launched the new home shirt of River for the 2022/23 season and the premiere will take place this Saturday night, when River takes on Newell’sat the Monumental Stadium, on the 13th of the Lega Calcio Professionisti.
The new “Millionaire” jersey will have a modern application of the red band, thus obtaining an original design that combines past, present and future, since it also has the new club crest and also a polo-like collar, inspired by the iconic River jerseys of the 90s. And on the back of the neck it features the corporate slogan “Greatness”.

This new jersey is presented with the new motto “From the river to the heart”which conveys “the unalterable and indisputable feeling that the River fans have for their team”, according to the statement released by adidas on the occasion of the presentation.
In line with the brand’s constant support for women’s football and diversity, the official launch video and photos were made with the participation of players Martina del Trecco, Sofía Domínguez, Agostina Holzheier and Giuliana González Ranzuglia. And of the men’s team, Agustín Palavecino, Esequiel Barco and Santiago Simón posed.

The new River Plate jersey is on sale from today in the adidas app and in the official web stores exclusively for adiClub members, and also in the Tienda River. In the next few days it will also be available in the main sporting goods stores in the country.
In this way, adidas continues to strengthen its bond with River, which has lasted for 40 years. And that at the end of last year a renewal was finalized until 2027 that ensures the Núñez club a minimum profit of almost 60 million dollars, a figure that can increase from royalties for the sale of products and from awards for the titles.
Meanwhile, the adidas shirt will shine on the chest of Codere, the new main sponsor, who has already made his debut against Independiente. And part of this new design is also the incipient relationship between the international company of private games and online sports betting, which had already accompanied the club on the sleeves of the shirt and now does so on the chest.
“We are proud to belong to this great institution and delighted with the new adidas jersey design,” commented Carlos Sabanza, head of sponsorship at Codere, who will contribute a minimum of € 10.5 million to River for a three-year contract. Dollars.
In this way, between adidas and Codere, they will leave the treasury of the Núñez club with a base of over 70 million dollars, a figure that can increase if River obtains titles in the years of duration of both contracts.
