The San Lorenzo will try to recover the good pace in the Professional League when on Tuesday they host Platense in a match corresponding to the 14th day of the championship. The duel at the Pedro Bidegain Stadium will begin at 7pm, will be directed by Fernando Echenique and broadcast by ESPN Premium.
The group led by Ruben Darío Insua crashed against the Patronato in Paraná on Friday and saw their streak of six consecutive appearances without incident end. Now, with the aim of getting closer to qualifying for the next Copa Sudamericana, they will try to smile again in their stadium, where they have only won once in this tournament: 2-1 against Boca on the seventh day.
For this match Insua will wait until the last minute Nahuel Barrios, who was unable to play in Paraná due to a muscle discomfort and has not trained in recent days with his teammates. If he’s fit, he’d come in for Paraguayan Adam Bareiro.
While the Cyclone Aspiring to reach the next Copa Sudamericana, Platense is involved in other conflicts these days: his main concern is to add a series of points that will allow him to secure his stay in the first division as soon as possible. After a 3-1 win against Banfield on Friday in Vicente López, he is 20th in the average rankings. In any case, he cannot be overlooked.
According to his team’s performance in his latest presentation and with no forced casualties, Omar De Felippe will repeat the training. Uruguayan defender Haibrany Ruiz Díaz, who, as a substitute, was sent off during half-time against Banfield for an overly angry protest against referee Germán Delfino will not be on the bench.
The record in the First Division shows a difference of 30 games in favor of San Lorenzo (52 wins, 22 losses and 35 draws in 109 games). This year they already played at Pedro Bidegain on April 16 for the Professional League Cup and finished 2-2 with a comeback after visiting in the second half.
