Each pack contains 5 stickers and the average price is 160 pesos. At best, without even a repeated touch, it would take 128 packs and the value would be $ 20,480. Logically it is almost impossible that the same figurines do not come out and, therefore, the price will be much higher.
How much does it cost to fill the Panini album
To see the probabilities, let’s take a study by a Cardiff University mathematician named Paul Harper. The researcher has done his work on the Russia World Cup album so, by adjusting the costs, you can get to an approximate value to know how much it costs to fill all the boxes of the new Panini Qatar 2022.
The easy count, 638 boxes, divided by the five stickers that each pack carries gives 127.6. In other words, if the figures were not repeated, with 19,200 pesos (the cost of 128 packages) the album would be filled. Whoever has put together stickers (“I have it”, “I don’t have it”) knows that it is impossible.
So, according to Harper, if there was no “I have it / I don’t have it”, that is, the exchange, the collector would have to purchase about 967 packs to complete the album. And, if so, the investment would be 145,000 pesos.
But the funniest thing is the search for the “difficult”, which changes figures. And in that case, the chances of filling the album in the cheapest way will increase as soon as the collector gets to know as many “colleagues” as possible for the exchange.
Following this pattern, Harper says it is very likely that the purchase of 200 packs (for a total of 1,000 stickers, of which 362 will be exchanged) plus the barter will complete the album. And that would require around 30,000 pesosa figure five times lower than it would be if the company were dealt with without changes in figures.
And, to further reduce costs, there is the option to buy in bulk. In this case the price varies between 110 and 115 pesos. There is also the box which contains 104 envelopes, which means that between 11,440 and 11,960 pesos would be spent.
