The Madre de Ciudades stadium, in Santiago del Estero, will be the example for the new field.
The project to create a Unique stadium in Tucumán begins to take shape. For a long time now, in every club, bar or hangout with friends, round lovers have been talking about why this province, always so passionate about football, does not have such a thing. And apparently, the dream could come true. Carlo GalliaMayor of San Isidro de Lules, a town located just 20 kilometers from the capital of the Jardín de la República, signed a contract this Friday for the preparation of the architectural project for what in the future would be the sports facility, where they would enter 50,000 people sit-ins, parking for 10,000 vehicles and facilities for social and cultural purposes. Hopefully, he would be the greatest, overtaking José Fierro, from Atlético; and La Ciudadela, in San Martín.
During an official act, Gallia signed the agreement with the architects José María Luciani (of Cordova) and Pablo Campopiano (of Tucumán), who will carry out the projects. The Cordovan professional revealed that in addition to developing the designs for the single stadium in Santiago del Estero, he has also worked on similar projects in other provinces.
And he stressed that the San Isidro de Lules stadium, in addition to being covered, will be adapted “to the principles and regulations required by FIFA”. He explained that it will be “multipurpose”not only for sporting activities, but also social and cultural, as it will have a museum, three restaurants, a hostel for players and a sports training center.
The mayor of Lules explained that, after analyzing the legal aspects and selecting the specialists, Luciani (Córdoba) and Campopiano (Tucumán), the respective ordinances were carried out through the Deliberative Council.
Also, the chief of staff mentioned, Giovanni Manzur, and claimed to have received his approval to perform this step. “All those wishes that Tucumans have, today we have ordered them and we have put them in the legal form and in the perspective of future development; we have put them on the road and there is no return,” Gallia said.
“This is not an expense, it is an investment with all the letters“, he detailed, referring to the tourist impact it will have and” the return that Lules and Tucumán will have. “Furthermore, it was hoped that, in the event that the 2030 World Cup is held jointly in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile , “we can do that tournament on our land”.
“The whole of northern Argentina monopolizes us in any type of event and competition, fair or congress. We will stop regretting that we play a River-Boca in Salta, or that we play a Los Pumas test match in Santiago or Mendoza or a the great recital has no place (in this province) “, he concluded. The illusion is on.
