Australia recovered this Saturday from his severe defeat against The Cougars in San Juan with an impressive 25-17 win South Africa at the Adelaide Oval, in the match that opened the third day of the Rugby Championship before the duel between Argentina and New Zealand in Christchurch. With five minutes left, the Ocean team won with a bonus point, but the reaction of the Springboks deprived them of adding an extra unit.

A great defense and good offensive moves gave the Australian team a clear superiority over the Springboks, who still got a decent final score despite their poor performances.

The Australian they took a quick lead with a McReight try in the 2nd minute, followed by a conversion from LoLesio, who scored a penalty in the 7th minute for a 10-0 lead.

In the first period the South Africans scored only 3 points thanks to a successful penalty by Pollard which led to the 10-3 which ended the first half.

At minute 7 of the complement, a try by Koroibete widens the difference (15-3), even if Lolesio fails the transformation.

The Australian dominance was reflected again with a new goal, the third and last local, by McReight (20-3). This time Lolesio did not fail and the score went 22-3.

The Wallabies complete their tally with another penalty scored by Lolesio (25-3).

From then on South Africa tried to go back in history playing almost always in the rival field, and got the fruit of their reaction with the two tries of Kwagga Smith in the 35 ‘and 40’ and the transformations of Jantjies and Hendrikse to decorate the defeat and the final 17-25 on the board.
