Argentina lost the playoffs 2022 Davis Cup Finals losing all three of his games Group stage, who played in Bologna. The team led by William Coriafell 2-1 to Sweden and before Italy and then 3-0 against Croatia and failed to achieve the goal of entering the top eight of the competition. Now he will have a few months to shake off the anger and pain of that disappointing performance and start focusing on the next challenge: the Qualifiers 2023.

The blue and black and white team will have to follow the same path that they did this year in the next edition of the contest. He will play again in February, in the crossings for the classification in the group stage of the Finals. And he will have a couple of months to know which rival he will face and where he will appear.

It is that the duels of that instance will be defined only after the champion of 2022 is known. After the action of the playoffs in Malaga, where from November 22nd to 27th there will be the quarterfinals, semifinals and final, the crosses of the Qualifiers.

Which countries could Argentina play against? Against any of the twelve who won their World Group I series this weekend; the other seven eliminated in the group stage; and the six who will go to the playoffs, but will not reach the final.

The teams that have won the World Group are Austria, Czech Republic, Uzbekistan, Portugal, Norway, Hungary, Slovakia, Finland, Bosnian, Colombia and the winners of Ecuador-Switzerland Y Peru-Chile, still under discussion. Ten qualifiers will be played: the eight best placed and the winners of some extra crosses who will play the four worst in November.

Swedenthe other eliminated from the Argentina group; South Korea Y Serbianthe worst of B in Valencia; France Y Belgium, who challenged the C in Hamburg; Y Great Britain Y Kazakhstanfrom D, in Glasgow, are the others who have suffered the same fate as the Albiceleste team and will compete in the standings in February.

Six other teams will come down to that instance after the Malaga playoffs, which will begin with the quarter-final series Italy-United States, Germany-Canada, Australia-Netherlands Y Croatia-Spain. Only the champion and runner-up of 2022 secure a place in the 2023 finals.

After the final, the 24 nations will be sorted according to the latest ranking update, the 12 seeds will be defined and the crossings will be drawn.

This will also determine who will host and choose duel surfaces. As was decided in the old Davis format, the home team, which alternates, will be the one that played the last game between the two rivals as a guest. If they have never met or if the last series was prior to 1970, it will be drawn.

Unlike the duels of the Finals, which consist of two singles and a double, played on the same day, the Qualifiers series are played to the best of five points in two days. In the first two singles are played and in the second first double and then two more singles.

If Argentina win in February in that case, they will enter the group stageas it happened this year when with his 4-year win against Czech Republic in March, on the brick dust of the Tennis on the grass of Buenos Aireshe secured a place in Bologna

If he loses, he will have to play for the permanence, as in 2021. On that occasion, after falling a Colombia in the Qualifiers (they were played in March 2020 in San Juan, but after the cancellation of that year’s Finals due to the pandemic, they were valid for last year’s edition), he had to face the playoffs. Won 4-1 against Belarus in the BALTC and entered the qualifying phase of this 2022, in which they beat the Czechs.
