The Bayern Munich coach, Julian Nagelmannensured this Friday that after every game he receives death threats, beyond his team’s results, and messages escalate when the team plays with three and not four defenders.
“I get death threats after every game, whether we win or lose. I read the first line and deleted it. Sometimes they are also with my mother which seems to be too much for me. The threats are more when we play with three defenders, ”Nagelsmann told Bayern’s press conference.
Nagelsmann’s appearance in the media was the first after a Champions League elimination with Villarreal, in a game in which he played alongside three defenders.
The use of the line has received criticism from various sectors, including the former president of the Bayern Board of Directors, Karlheinz Rummenigge.

“I know I have to accept criticism from everywhere. It’s normal, it’s part of the trade. Karlheinz Rummenigge’s criticism is something I can live with. Less than 450 death threats“, he said.
“When one of the two of the three competitions is eliminated, the coach naturally criticizes. I accept and I continue to work,” he added.
The goal now, according to Nagelsmann, is to win the next two games to capture the tenth consecutive Bundesliga title and then start planning for next season, which he did not want to divulge in detail.
“For sure we have a couple of points where something needs to be done. We have a squad that has been playing for a long time. On the one hand that’s good because the players will get to know each other. But when you become successful. A long time comes when needed you new blood, “he said.
Nagelsmann took over for Bayern at the start of this season and had an up-and-down campaign.
The elimination in the German Cup in the second round, after beating 5-0 against Borussia Mönchengladbach and in the Champions League against Villarreal, were two intense blows.
