Elden ringa critically acclaimed RPG adventure, won the award for the best video game of the year 2022. It is the GOTY, Game of The Year, an award presented by The Game Awards, a ceremony in which video games are awarded.
The From Software game came out in February of this year and was a great candidate to win it, along with God of War Ragnarok (Sony PlayStation), saga that in 2018 had received the highest recognition. This time he didn’t succeed, but he took 6 awards.
The other candidates were A Plague Tale: Requiem, Horizon Forbidden West, Stray and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Elden Ring is yet another chapter in the saga of Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of the Dark Souls saga, a type of video game characterized by its dark worlds, its high difficulty and the satisfying feeling of progress generated by advancing in its world. In Elden Ring, the saga has been brought for the first time into a huge open world, as vast as it is intriguing.
