The new temporary or ephemeral message type could already be seen in the Android beta (version 2.22.25.20), where it is accompanied by a new button send with to padlock.

This new button in the message composer is that it tells the user that you can send a read-only textand which will disappear from the conversation when the recipient has opened and read it.

If the recipient tries to view it again, they will instead see a small symbol with the number 1 and a warning that the text has expired, but you can ask the sender to resend it, as explained by the specialized site WABetainfo.

This type of temporary message is preceded by an information page, which indicates that given the private nature with which it has been designed, it is not possible to take a screenshot, copy it, share it with other users or save it.

This is, for the moment, a feature under development that should arrive in a future update of WhatsApp for Android, first for users of the beta.
