Fans of the most famous Italian plumber in the world have to be patient. The release of the animated film Super Mario Bros.set in Nintendo’s character universe, is now scheduled for Easter 2023, instead of December 2022.
The news was announced on social media Monday night by Shigeru Miyamoto, co-creator of some of Nintendo’s biggest series, including Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong. I sincerely apologize, but I promise it’s worth the waithe wrote through the official Nintendo Twitter account in the United States.
In particular, the film will hit theaters on April 7, 2023 in North America and April 28 in Japan.
Super Mario Bros. will feature the voices of Hollywood superstars, including Chris Pratt, who will play Mario, and Jack Black, as the villainous King of Koopas, Bowser.
The film was directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, funded by Nintendo and Universal Studios, and produced by Illumination Entertainment.
