Ubisoft on Tuesday announced in a tweet a news the community of nostalgic gamers has been waiting for: the educational game Adibou will be available for download in the Google Play Store and App Store application store from April 28.
On the Ubisoft France Twitter account, a tweet is accompanied by a trailer and a theme song fromAdibou – a deafening tune offered on all listening platforms (New window).
The video offers a glimpse into the new learning game, a real journey through time, but with modern images. You will see the house with red cover, smiling trees, Adibou garden and some colorful characters.
An expected return
The video game giant in France announced the return of the humanoid alien in November 2021. The news shocked people who grew up in the 1990s. Some Internet users have even promised to try the game live on broadcaster platforms like Twitch or YouTube Gaming.
The first version of the game was first launched on PC in 1992, then on Wii, PlayStation and PlayStation 2 consoles, before disappearing in 2009.
The character Adibou accompanied the children in educational games related, among other things, to cooking, painting, science and languages.
More than a decade later, the children of one of the game’s creative heads, Roland Oskian, are taking a torch to their company Wiloki, which has signed an agreement with Ubisoft.
The new version ofAdibou is aimed at children from 4 to 7 years old. A PC version is also planned, but Ubisoft has only announced iOS and Android apps so far.
