Objective has always been focused on his division of artificial intelligence. Even when he wasn’t the company’s primary focus, he did quite well. With this technology on the rise, the creator of Facebook It seems that now he will give him the place he deserves and it is certain that he will be able to reach university without problems. Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).

Although this research has ethical implications very serious about the futureMark Zuckerberg seems quite confident that his company will reach (sooner rather than later) this unprecedented technological milestone.

What is AGI and why it can be the best artificial intelligence

In an exclusive interview with the media The limitMeta’s top reference explained the objective of creating a new concept of artificial intelligence, known in computer jargon by its acronym: AGI.

In principle, it is something really complex and for which there is currently no exact definition, but in essence an AGI is a subset of the broader field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It is a branch of artificial intelligence that seeks to create systems capable of performing any intellectual task. In other words, a machine that can think and reason like a human being.

On the other hand there is ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence language model that uses a neural network to generate text in response to a given text input. Unlike AGI, the generative artificial intelligence developed by Sam Altman he has no ability to think or reason like a human, it simply generates text based on patterns learned from the training data.

Furthermore, they already have plans to do so. Meta invested too much of its capital to acquire the new Nvidia H100i.e. the graphics processing units for which NVIDIA has specifically developed feed artificial intelligence, not like the well-known ones for laptop or desktop computers.

Based on their characteristics, NVIDIA GPUs are for Meta a key option for your deep learning applications, thanks to its powerful Tensor Cores. This technology is used to accelerate machine learning and image processing.

They are graphics cards that stand out for their management capacity large data sets and perform complex calculations needed to train deep neural networks.

They are also suitable for high-performance computing workloads, such as scientific simulations, weather forecasting and financial models, thanks to their high memory bandwidth and powerful processing capabilities.

So, along with the A1000 it already has, Meta would have more 600,000 GPUs designed specifically to enhance AI capabilities.

In principle, only Microsoft can rival the development power of Meta, a company that is also preparing to launch the new version of its AI: Flame 3. The third version of the language model of artificial intelligence is characterized by use a neural network to generate text in response to a text entry.

It’s worth mentioning that Meta is doing it fundamentally differently with its AIs. Because in principle they are open source and collaborative. Therefore, try to attract talent and show the process of creating AI relatively openly so that the process is much more transparent.

This marks an interesting path, since many theorists raised an eyebrow when they saw that the development of these technologies is closed and very hermetic on the part of companies that are developing something truly dangerous.
