The publication confirmed the initial clue after consulting the movements in the real estate registers, interviewing the contractors and even finding the plans, concluding that it is one of the most expensive private architectural projects of recent decades: more than 100 million dollars, added value to land that Zuckerberg began purchasing in lots in 2014.

The project includes twelve buildings, two buildings connected by a tunnel –with access to a Underground shelter of 465 m2 protected by a durable steel door explosions -, guest houses (in total there will be 30 bedrooms and the same number of bathrooms) plus 11 rooms hanging from trees connected by bridges as well as elevators, offices, conference rooms, an industrial-sized kitchen, gym, swimming pools, sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool and tennis court.

The entrances to the complex, entirely monitored by cameras, will be protected by digital code locks.

Even if Zuckerberg, his wife Priscilla Chan and their daughters live high pole, California, are spending more and more time on the island farm. In March, the couple donated $4.2 million to a jobs program for Kauai residents who lost jobs due to the pandemic and recently donated $4.85 million in affordable housing grants.

But it’s not all good looks for the Facebook founder. The couple’s presence on the island has a troubled history they have been there over the years. Many local residents saw Zuckerberg’s land purchases as a “new monarchy” that did not respect the history of the island.

“Zuckerberg first angered neighbors in 2016 by building a 6 foot wall around your property with the aim of reducing road noise. A year later, Zuckerberg presented a lawsuit against the families that they had ownership rights to parcels of land within their property, saying at the time that they filed the lawsuit to “ensure that even the smallest co-owners receive their fair share.” But residents described the move as “neocolonialism”.
