Password theft is more common than you think. On the other hand, Google is considering taking new steps that will offer the user additional security when downloading and using apps from the Play Store.

The company, in particular, warns developers that those apps that haven’t been updated in a while should be adapted new versions of androidthey will no longer be displayed in your app store and thus will not be available to the user.

The Mountain View giant confirmed on its official blog for developers that this proposal will begin on November 1, 2022.

As they admit, the measures will apply, above all, to apps available in the download store that carry two years without receiving any update of the developer.

While there are likely to be apps that don’t require constant updating, the Mountain View company said it’s important that everyone supports the latest versions of Android.
