The brand has issued press invitations for its main annual event. The new generation of iPhone is on the program.

The date is now official: Apple’s annual back to school conference will take place on September 7 at 7:00 p.m. French time at its headquarters in Cupertino, California (United States). This is its most important conference since it is traditionally the scene of the launch of the new iPhone. The 2022 edition will therefore be an opportunity to reveal the iPhone 14 and its versions.

The new range of iPhone should evolve compared to next year: the iPhone 13 mini should not have the right to a successor, while an iPhone 14 Max (large format version more accessible than the Pro range) should appear, according to recurring rumors. In total, there are therefore four mobile phones that Tim Cook, the company’s head, should announce: the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Max, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Apple wants to push the Pro

To encourage customers to buy the Pro version and make it the best-selling iPhone, Apple should further differentiate it from the classic version. Therefore, contrary to what has been done in previous years, Apple should reserve its new processor for the Pro range. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max would thus have the same chips as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, launched at end of 2021.

The Pro range should also benefit from photographic improvements, with a 48-megapixel sensor, compared to 12-megapixel in the classic version. Apple should keep some of the iPhone 13 in the range while lowering its price, along with the iPhone SE, its most affordable model.

The Californian company will also take advantage of this day to unveil its new Apple Watch models, always focused on health, with -still according to rumours- a new body temperature analysis function. A stronger dedicated model dedicated to extreme sports should also be presented.
