Unusual: A member of Rammstein was seen playing “chalan” in a Mexican taqueria

Rammstein were doing their thing in Mexico City. The German metal rock band traveled to North America to give three shows at the Foro Sol, but since they landed their members have not been limited to just the stages: they lived a complete cultural experience.

guitarist Richard Kruspe It was the one we saw making the most of his short stay in the countryside. Taking into account the fact that he will appear in a new documentary for Amazon Prime Video about shows in Mexico, the musician has flourished in several iconic places in the country.

Representation of all Mexican taquerias (or typical foods) Kruspe went into one of them and cooked like a good “chalan” (kitchen helper, in this case).

Some photographs uploaded to Facebook from the Summa Inferno account show Kruspe manipulating the oven like a specialist. The sopitas.com website suggests that the guitarist’s visit to the taqueria took place on October 3.

First, the band member led by Up to Lindman he had played “Du Hast” in the Zócalo of the Mexican capital.

In a viral video he can be seen performing the famous theme in the midst of many fans.

Another pearl of the guitarist has to do with Doctor Simi’s dolla very special gift that Mexicans usually give to artists who play in their land.

On this occasion it was Kruspe who picked up a Simi plush toy from the stage that a fan threw at him and put it on the shoulder of his guitar while he was playing.

Dr. Simi’s doll is the visual representation of a doctor born at the suggestion of Victor González Torresthe creator of Farmacias Similares, who was looking for a character to represent his project.

Who is Richard Kruspe?

Kruspe was born in Wittenberge, East Germany, 55 years ago. In addition to playing guitar for Rammstein since 1994, when the band was created, Richard is a guitarist for emigrate.

Between the two bands, Kruspe has participated in at least twelve albums. In Emigrate his ex-wife and mother of his daughter plays bass, Margaux Bossieux.

Richard has a curious story linked to the fall of the Berlin Wall: before October 10, 1989, Kruspe was traveling on the subway and when he emerged he found himself in the middle of a political demonstration.

He was arrested, beaten and jailed for six days for simply being there. Released from prison, he left East Germany and entered the West via the Hungarian-Austrian border.

Without a wall, Kruspe returned to the old eastern side.
