Hillon Fern received the gift when she was 13 years old and it still hasn’t been opened.
An Easter gift in 1960 marked Hillion Fern, then 13 years old. Hillion received a eggs of Easter from his father, Aubrey Daulman, from a local store called Sharps, in England.
The chocolate egg is decorated with yellow frosting in the shape of daffodils and contains a bag of candies and chocolates.
Young Hillion thought it was “too good to eat”, so the years passed and he didn’t decide to eat it. And that’s why it’s been maintained for 62 years.
Hillion, now 75 and a great -grandmother, has specially preserved eggs in storage to prevent the chocolate from melting. Her decision to keep it as a gift from her father cost her dearly: she pays $ 105 a month to have it specially refrigerated.

Memories of childhood
Hillion, who retired after working at a wildlife trust, said he still remembers the day the egg was given to him in 1960 and plans to keep it for the rest of his life.
