Colombian singer Carlo G broke a new recordand became the first Latino artist to surpass the number of sales for a single performance. The star managed to rise $2.998 million in its most recent presentation in the city of Los Angeles.
the bicotta performed two consecutive nights at the Crypto.com Arena during his “$trip Love Tour”, racking up more than $5.5 million from 26,837 tickets sold on October 21 and 22, but last night was superior in number.
Also, the “$trip Love Tour” also stood out as the most profitable of tours made by Latin female artists, according to data published by the magazine Pollstar. Running 30 US arena shows from September 6 in Chicago to the final tour in Boston on November 2, it grossed $66.7 million from a total of 378,086 tickets sold at 28 venues.
The “Provenza” singer surpassed the gross of any other U.S. tour by a Latina female performer, including Jennifer Lopez, who grossed $49.6 million at 28 concerts in the North American country during her “It’s My Party” in the summer of 2019. It moved 360,117 tickets to 22 arenas and an amphitheater during the Tour.
It also surpassed the $28.7 million of Shakira’s “Oral Fixation” tour (2006), which yielded ticket numbers of 379,420 across 32 US arena performances. Her 2018 tour dubbed “El Dorado” is also in the mix with a gross of $23.9 million from 210,968 tickets across 18 shows in 2018.
For much of 2021, Karol G toured America to promote his album KG0516, which was released in March of the same year. In addition, he launched the US tour in October, followed by a series of dates in Latin America, starting in December and throughout the first half of this year. In total, he grossed $101 million from 885,012 ticket sales across 79 shows in 13 countries.
