Employees of at least a hundred Starbucks locations went on strike on Thursday demanding wage increases and other benefits.
Strikes coincide with Red Cup Dayan annual day when the company hands out free reusable cups to customers who purchase a Christmas drink.
Employees say it is usually one of the days of biggest sales of the year. Starbucks declined to disclose how many red cups it planned to give out.
