Passionate about body modifications, a South American couple has amassed 98 interventions from piercings to tattoos, including eye tattoos. Gabriela Peralta of Argentina and Victor Hugo Peralta of Uruguay broke into the Guinness World Records when they had already amassed 84 changes. Since 2014, they hold the title of most double body modifications.
Along with the title, the couple continues to transform their bodies. According to a Guinness publication, the list currently includes 50 piercings, 14 body implants, eight microdermals, five dental implants, four earplugs, two ear screws and a forked tongue.
Gabriela and Victor, who met in Buenos Aires, Argentina nearly 24 years ago and have been married for 14 years, share a passion for implants and body modifications together and feel empowered and proud to express this shared interest.
“My favorite change about Victor is the star-shaped silicone implants on his forehead. I actually love all the changes on his forehead,” said Gabriela. This was Victor’s first intervention in 2009. Then, Gabriela began her own changes.
While the changes may seem exaggerated to some, the couple doesn’t mind the comments. “Enjoy life, appreciate art. Tattoos don’t make you a good or bad person – they’re just art. There will be those who appreciate it and those who don’t,” Victor told Guinness.
