On the podium of banknotes with the most attractive prices are the US$ 1 specimens that are in circulation and can sell for up to $150,000.
Also, according to information from the Metro Word News site, there are 6.4 million units that would have that value on the collectors market.
The peculiarity of these banknotes, following the same source, is that they were printed in 2014 and have the repeated serial code.
This was due to an error by the Engraving and Printing Bureau, which is the state agency that prints banknotes in that country.
I’m tracking the $150,000 bills
The same source indicates that, so far, there is only a record of nine of these models.
Is there any way to find them? It is more than evident that finding them is not an easy task. As an indication, the note indicates that the first printing was released the year of printing in upstate New York. Then in 2016, another edition was released exactly the same as the one that arrived in Washington.
Other essential information to find them: their identification can be between the serial numbers B00000001 and B00250000; or between serial numbers B03200001 and B09600000.
In addition, notes must have the Federal Reserve stamp containing the letter “B”.
Also, to fix the error in the serial number, a star has been placed at the end of the number.
A similar situation occurred with $100 bills, which also had their own repeating version. In this case, they sold for $35,000.
