A Turkish MP in Ankara (Turkey) was taken to intensive care this Tuesday (6) after another MP was hit on the head during a general fight in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
According to local BBC Turkey news site, opposition party IYI’s Hüseyin Örs was dealt a blow as a result of a disagreement when the ruling AKP MP Zafer Işık was discussing budget issues in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The melee was filmed by television networks.
Örs, 58, suffered a heart spasm after a pacemaker and a blow to his head. The condition of the person, who was immediately taken to Güven Hospital and resuscitated with a defibrillator, is stable. Witnesses to the fight said Örs had “redness and swelling on his forehead”.
All day long, Anvil was visited by other colleagues at the hospital.
