Residents said an earthquake in southwestern Mexico on Sunday caused tremors in parts of the capital, but no damage was reported at first.
A 6.0-magnitude tremor occurred at a depth of 19.8km, three kilometers west and northwest of El Ticui in Guerrero state, the US Geological Survey said.

Mexico City’s Mayor, Claudia Sheinbaun, said on Twitter that a plane flying over the city did not report any damage.
