Vladimir Rogov, the highest official in the neighboring Zaporizhia region, also occupied by the Russians, said Bulyuk’s car exploded in the Black Sea, in the city of Skadovsk near Crimea and in southern Kherson.
He stated that Büyük, who was hospitalized in Simferopol, one of the main cities of Crimea, “is in good condition, but in serious condition”.
Rogov classified what happened as an “attempted assassination” and stated that “details have been clarified”.
Russian forces withdrew from the main city of Kherson in November, but retain control of most of this part of southern Ukraine.
