More celebrities who protested

In turn, many of Nasr’s colleagues have joined the global outcry.

One of the first was the Colombian footballer Radamel Falcaowho upon hearing the news tweeted: “This is unacceptable.”

“Totally incomprehensible that at this point a person is sentenced to death for defending human rights. Much strength to Amir Nasr-Azadani. It’s everyone’s responsibility to put an end to this” added the Spanish striker Borja Iglesias.
