The old Joyce DeFauw achieved a goal that was proposed more than seventy years ago: with 90 years old graduates from college.

American woman started with the economic career in 1948. But life ended up taking her down another path, until she successfully returned to the studio path.

Love away from the studio

About three years after enrolling in college, Joyce she met Don Freeman, the first love of her life, in a church .

Precisely because of this man, she dropped out of school to start a family: they had three children. But at the time he would receive a setback: she was widowed

Far from lamenting, the woman soon rebuilt her life and found love again when she met Roy DeFauw, whom she married and had six other children.

In this way the family multiplied exponentially. Currently, Joyce has 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. And it was one of her nieces who pushed the lady to resume her studies and go for a degree.
