Yadira Reyes, a food entrepreneur, was happy with life. A customer had ordered hundreds of individual cakes for gifts. Without hesitation, she sourced the raw material and made them all.

But from one moment to the next, the sales assistant disappeared and the young cook was left with all the unsold cakes. His terrible frustration spilled over into a Facebook post.

According to Reyes, “they placed an order for 2,000 single cakes, which weren’t (removed) from them, and the manager didn’t go and liquidate the job.”

In her defence, the pastry chef showed pictures of the finished products, offering them at a lower price to try to “recover part of the investment and the size of the order. We don’t want to be beaten.”

After publicizing the bad episode of his enterprise, The baker was criticized by skeptics who didn’t believe her story, while she was supported by other users.

Given these risks, it is important to consider alternatives before accepting an order, such as requesting a prepayment or a reservation to avoid these situations.
