US President Joe Biden announced today the delegation to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who was elected on January 1, 2023, in Brazil. The American representative will not come to Brazil.

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is also not on the list.

The delegation has three names. It will be led by Deb Haaland, Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior.

There will also be Douglas Koneff, Charge d’Affaires at the US Embassy in Brazil, and Special Assistant to the US President and Senior Director of Western Hemisphere Affairs on the National Security Council.
