In the last few hours it has been known that in the United Kingdom it is possible to rent a huge villa 600 pounds ($743) per month, a relatively affordable amount considering the size of the property.

But if it’s that simple, you must be suspicious. The villa is equipped with a trap.

Anyone who wants to rent it must commit to work in a funeral home. According to The Sun and Mirror, that means cleaning up after the deceased has been removed, cleaning mortuary refrigerators, helping other tenants “show the deceased to doctors” and “guiding mourners” on chapel visits.

Oh and “sweeping the morgue floor” several times a year, acting as a receptionist answering the phone, keeping the carpets clean and tending the garden.

If you take the job you can earn $10.10 per hour and remain to live in the villa once his working hours are over.

The owners of the house, which according to the aforementioned media belongs to Hillie Funeral Service and is located in Swindon, Wiltshire, highlight its “good size”, high ceiling and fireplace among the property’s assets.

The curious offer caught attention on Reddit and split the waters. Can this be considered a deal or is it a scam? Most thought the latter.

One user said: “Wow, I’m sure this could be a great deal for someone with a very specific lifestyle but who works six days a week with only two weeks off a year, to have what amounts to £200 per month”.

“Even if it’s just a couple of hours a day. I would definitely expect to not have to pay rent or at least be extremely cheap. Edit: You also have to deal with ghosts, so that’s even worse,” he added. .

“Didn’t you read the ‘clean up the morgue’ part? I’ll take care of it,” another added wryly. “You have to pay to live at work…above a morgue…,” he completed a third.

“Saw this the other day too! I was almost on board until I ‘cleaned the morgue’,” concluded a fourth user.
