Hollywood legend Gene Hackman showed he’s still in top form while working in the garden at his ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Sunday.
The ‘Unforgiven’ actor, who turned 93 in January, looked fit and healthy as he clutched a shovel on his private property.
Earlier in the day, the two-time Oscar winner was seen shopping at Wendy’s.
A hungry Hackman wolfed down his chicken sandwich in the fast food franchise parking lot before filling up with gas.
It was a rare appearance for the retired star, who was last seen on screen in the 2004 comedy “Welcome to Mooseport.”
Despite being a huge star, Hackman has been ostracized for decades and avoids the bright lights of Hollywood. The father of three, who has lived for decades in New Mexico with his pianist wife, Betsy Arakawa, also refrains from giving interviews.
Since retiring from Hollywood, the star has also turned to novel writing, including the 2013 crime thriller ‘Pursuit’.
Hackman is also an avid cyclist, a hobby he maintained well into his 90s and one that keeps him in good shape.
In 2012, the actor was hit by a pickup truck while cycling in Florida. He was airlifted to hospital and made a full recovery.
