Historians say that high heels were first created for men and that men started wearing them in the 10th century. Nowadays, some men have returned to wearing heels. And men’s heels have made their way into pop culture as well.
Recently, a 63-year-old German engineer, Mark Bryan, she started wearing heels with a skirt in her office and as normal day-to-day attire. Their appearance is meant to tell people to drop stereotypes and not be afraid to wear whatever you want. He says he’s straight and he’s bored with menswear.
Mark Bryan, robotics engineer and father of three, is at first glance an ordinary man. He is usually busy with his job and family obligations. But recently he has caused quite a stir on the internet and added about 615,000 followers on Instagram sharing their quirky looks, far from the usual “dad stuff.”
Mark regularly posts photos of himself posing in his smart suits, often pairing his typically masculine button-down shirts with a pair of heels to mix up what’s expected of certain genres.
In his biography, Mark describes himself as a “man straight, happily marriedwho loves Porsches, beautiful women, and incorporating heels and skirts into my everyday wardrobe.”
Talking about his favorite items, Mark said his favorites are stilettos which he mostly buys online. “It’s not the most comfortable, but I really like the look of heels with a skintight skirt,” he said.
Mark said he wears the clothes he makes “because I can” and said he has always admired women who wear skintight skirts and shoes and the power they present.
Several people have questioned Mark’s sexuality ever since he started wearing skirts openly, which he says can put him in a bad mood. “Most of the time, I’ll tell them it’s none of their business,” he said. Other times, I’ll just say I’m straight.
But there are times when I get angry with some, especially men, when they ask me. I’ll respond with something like “why does wearing a skirt make you think about my sexual preferences?” or “Would you ask me the same question if I wore pants?” or “Ask a woman wearing her skirt and heels about her sexual preferences?”
Mark has been married three times. He has been in a relationship with his last wife of 11 years and says she and their children support him in his decisions.
He remembered when he spoke to his children to tell them his decision. “I told them their dad likes to wear skirts and heels and not worry about him being gay or anything sexual.”
Since then, she’s been mixing and matching styles before feeling brave enough to go to work with her favorite outfit, starting with heels and pants before going with a skirt.
He admitted that the first time he went to work in a skirt he felt nervous, before realizing that “the vast majority of people really don’t care what they wear.”
“Some people, mostly men, are surprised that I’m a normal guy who can carry on a normal male conversation. The clothes are genderless, but I refer to my shirts as masculine, so to be clear, I don’t wear blouses. ” .
