A young British woman who lied about an ‘Asian sex trafficking gang’ he had kidnapped and raped her she was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison.

The girl, named Eleanor Williams, 22, was found guilty of nine counts of “perversion of the course of justice” after committing a series of serious sexual allegations against several men between 2016 and 2020.

In a May 2020 Facebook post shared more than 100,000 times, he described how Asian men beat, abused and trafficked her.

During the trial, his victims spoke of the damage his false allegations had caused to their lives and mental health, which led to multiple suicide attempts.

One of his victims, Mohammed Ramzan, who owns a business in Barrow-in-Furnesstown in the county of Cumbria, in north-west England, recounted his life has become “hell on earth” for his lies.

This was supported by the man, who is 43 years old tried to take his own life two weeks after being arrested and, speaking through tears, added, “I still have the scars to this day.”

His home was damaged and his business “ruined” when he and his family they were attacked “in the most horrendous way”.

“I received countless death threats on social media from people all over the world because of what they thought was involved,” she said.

Williams also told police she was taken to Blackpool where she said Ramzan threatened and took her in different directions and forced her to have sex with men.

“I’m sure no one pressured her go to Blackpool. He did it of his own free will to make false accusations against Mr. Ramzan and others,” the judge said categorically.

Superintendent Matthew Pearman, of Cumbria Police, said Williams’ allegations had led to “public displays of mass angerin Barrow, with protests vandalizing the police station and a shopping centre.

Speaking before Preston Crown Court, Ramzan said: “I’m not sure how my family and I will recover from all of thisbut added that they are “determined to move forward positively” with their lives.

He added that he would remain in Barrow despite his ordeal and that he “was delighted with the guilty verdict”.

Another victim of Williams’ lies who had the word “rapist” painted on the facade of her house said for her part that she wishes her accuser I would have received a longer sentence.
