Kim Yeo-jung, vice minister of the North Korean Workers’ Party, criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for expressing his willingness to “possess nuclear weapons,” saying, “The idea that we can defeat Russia is megalomaniac.”

In a statement released on the 1st through the Chosun Central News Agency, Vice Minister Kim said that the appeal containing these contents was announced, saying, “This is the product of the Zelensky authorities’ insidious political scheming.” Previously, President Zelensky had announced the position of “restoring the status of a nuclear power” at the Munich Security Conference in February last year.

Vice Minister Kim said, “Ukrainian authorities, who are incurably paranoid that they can defeat (beat) Russia, suffer a nuclear catastrophe that threatens their survival without a rudimentary consciousness to foresee the future and no ability to handle the consequences.” He said, “The US bringing in nuclear weapons and making noise about its own nuclear development is a very dangerous manifestation of political ambition to try to survive by any means, even by gambling with the fate of one’s own country and people.”

In addition, “The Zelensky authorities, who look up to their masters every time they open their eyes and recite the Buddhist prayers of begging and favors when they open their mouths, will not be Russia’s opponents in the first place. “If Zelensky’s authorities calculated that they could avoid Russia’s powerful fire only by stepping under the already punctured U.S. nuclear umbrella, they were definitely going the wrong way, the last way,” he said.

He added, “The puppets who serve the United States like a servant (grandfather) and blindly believe in the weak promises of their masters believe that waking up as soon as possible from the self-destructive nuclear delusion that hangs a nuclear timeline on their backs is the best option to save their lives. You have to know the truth,” he said.

Previously, in a statement in January, Vice Minister Kim condemned the US aid to Ukraine and said, “We will always stand in the same battleground (trench) with the Russian military and people.”
