A young moose trudging through the snow in search of food he saw green plants in the atrium of a medical building at Providence Health Park in Anchorage, Alaskaand I decided to go get a dose of green.
The moose has been very resourceful ever since he himself activated the sensors on the doors machines in the building that houses the hospital’s cancer center and other doctors’ offices, he said Randy Hughes, hospital safety officer
“We received a call from one of our patients that a moose had just entered the building,” Hughes said.
Hughes thinks it’s the same moose that used to roam the campus. And although moose are common in Alaska, they have created a intercom announcement of the presence of moose for safety reasons.
“But it seemed he was a magnet for people I came to see him,” he said. “It’s not every day you find a moose going into a building, so everyone was excited to take pictures and stuff.”
In a video posted on social media, a woman wearing a mask and wearing a medical uniform can be heard saying: “This is crazy”while walking next to the moose, take a photo with his phone.
The moose was too busy eating all the plants in its path of the places he walked to realize the commotion he was causing.
security personnel they formed a semicircle to corner the moose and kicks him out the door. One officer even grabbed a piece of the plant the moose was eating and tried to lure it out.
“Finally, I think he’s had enough. everyone will watch itto see him eat,” Hughes said.
The moose left the building, but lingered for a while in the semicircular driveway. before heading elsewhere to rest.
It wasn’t the first time that a moose had entered one of the buildings of the hospital complex, in fact until when a bear once tried to enter the emergency room.
Hughes concluded by telling the AP, “There’s never a dull moment here at the hospital.”
