A man living in Indonesia had to be emergency surgery after penile fracture while practicing a very risky sex position, which left him with an “aubergine” shaped member.
Urology Case Reports journal just released a study detailing the dire situation, which was reproduced by the New York Post.
The strange incident occurred while the 37-year-old man was having sex in the “reverse cowgirl” position. in which the woman is on top and has her back to her partner.
According to Dr. Karan Raj, a TikTok doctor, it’s the “world’s most dangerous” pleasure position, responsible for 50 percent of fractures. In one of the typical movements of sex, the woman can squeeze the penis and cause a fracture
After the painful incident, the patient started bleeding from the tip of the penis and found himself unable to urinate. Realizing that something had gone terribly wrong, the man went to West Nusa Tenggara Province General Hospital.
Upon arrival at the health center, the man’s penis was very swollen and very dark in color, something that is indicative of a breakup. Doctors confirmed that he had a tear in his tunica albuginea, which is the tissue that allows the member to stretch and become erect. As if that weren’t enough, the man had a severe bruise, which caused blood to leak into the surrounding tissue.
The published article details that this type of injury occurs when the penis is erect and bends when it hits “the perineum or public bone firmly during intense sexual activity.” It can happen, the text adds, during masturbation or, for example, when turning over in bed at an awkward angle.
The study adds that these cases are easy to diagnose because the symptoms are obvious and simple. This type of fracture usually generates a popping sound, rapid detumescence, sharp pain, swelling of the penis, and bruising that can lead to an atypical condition known to doctors as an “eggplant deformity.”
At a follow-up visit several weeks later, doctors found that his penis was “in good shape” and that he was fine have an erection or urinate.
It is not known how long it took for the patient to return to activity, so to speak.
