David LindsayA 64-year-old pensioner from Cambridge, UK, was fast asleep on the sofa when his wife entered the living room and woke him up with a terrifying scream.
“Dave, the puppy is biting your toe!”, the woman exclaimed, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Immediately the man woke up and saw that a large part of his nail was hanging off and that the entire end was bleeding. The 7-month-old bulldog’s bites had gone to his bone.
As a result, Dave and his wife went to the doctor and discovered that the boy’s “attack” had, contrary to what they thought, saved the pensioner’s life.
Professionals noted that Lindsay had two blocked arteries in his legs and therefore hadn’t woken up when his dog bit him. He had no feeling in his feet; he risked having his leg amputated.
Because of this verdict, Dave celebrated his pup’s bloody mischief.

The other side of the previous case is the crime committed by five ferocious American bulldogs in October last year: a 65-year-old grandmother was mauled while at her home.
Ann Dunn was pronounced dead at her home in the Vauxhall area of Liverpool (UK) after neighbors reported hearing a woman’s screams at around 4pm.
Merseyside Police have confirmed that five animals, which were on the property, were seized by officers and euthanized.
A neighbour, who asked not to be named, said Ann, who worked in the cleaning area, was a “lovely person”, stopping by to chat to people.
“He was very funny and happy. It hadn’t been that long since he’d been on holiday with his daughter,” he says according to The Mirror.
“When I found out, I was very angry. I couldn’t sleep that night, I lay awake thinking about the awful state they must have found her in,” she adds.
After the appropriate call, the Carabinieri arrived on the spot with fire engines, to the bewilderment of the neighbors.
And as word got out about who the victim had been, people’s faces began to transform. No one could believe that dear grandmother was dead.
“I’ve lived here for 38 years and there’s been a huge increase in the number of fatal dog attacks,” says another neighbor.
