A food delivery man shared an unusual event on social media: faced with a failed delivery, he decided to deliver the package to two homeless people. He applauded the decision of the worker Rappi.
According to a video that went viral, he was about to deliver an order on his motorcycle after midnight, but the person who placed the order never showed up, didn’t return calls, and no one could locate him.
For multiple phone calls and chat messages, the customer never showed up. After waiting 30 minutes in the area, he contacted Rappi assistance to report the incident and, having the food order in hand, did not want to throw it away. Near the club were two older adults sleeping in the middle of the street and he decided to give them to them.
The grandparents were surprised to see the boy calling them. “Grandpa. They gave me an order, but they didn’t take it. It’s food. Do you want some food? The customer didn’t get it,” said the delivery man and seconds later left them for them to enjoy.
“I remembered where two grandparents lived, (…) Maybe it’s not much, but I know that with what I’ve shared with them God bless me with health and work. I hope that with this video I will touch their hearts and they will be able to give them something,” concluded the young man in the text he shared with the video.
The video was applauded by followers on TikTok, as it is not very common to see such actions.
