Netflix premiered 8 episodes of FUBAR, the first series starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and viewers have already started drawing their own conclusions.
It emerged on Twitter that most of the actor’s fans liked him and others found him compelling despite having a dubious quality or resembling other productions starring him.
The truth is, FUBAR is quite an event only because it signifies the 75-year-old actor and politician’s debut on the small screens.
The plot closely follows a veteran CIA agent (Schwarzenegger) who accepts one last mission before finally retiring, only to discover during the mission that his daughter (Monica Barbaro) is also working undercover for the agency.
The style of action and humor that defines the series of Nicholas Santora causes Arnold to receive some tributes in life. That’s why at the beginning of the first episode there’s a nod to one of the biggest hits in the actor’s career.
In the middle of one of his missions, the veteran protagonist appears dressed in a black leather jacket and on a motorcycle with an angry face just like him Terminator in the film of the same name James Cameron.
In FUBAR we do not speak directly of Terminator, but it is easy to understand that it is a reference to the event of the eighties.

Landed on Netflix, Arnold took the opportunity to continue to speak indirectly about his private life through the themes of the stories.
In FUBAR, Luke (the character he plays) hides his professional life from his wife and children, which leads to a divorce. Something similar happened to him in real life: from keeping secrets from his ex-wife, Maria Shriverboth ended up separating.
The actor confirmed homology: Schwarzenegger told The Hollywood Reporter that FUBAR feels “as if it were a documentary“of their life.
“The difference is that on the show Luke doesn’t consider it cheating because it was part of his profession. His wife left because he was never home, and now he has this dilemma with his daughter because she has the same job and it will ruin their relationship as well. But in[mio matrimonio nella vita reale con Shriver]it was my mistake. It was my failure,” she added in that interview.
