A British national has been killed and another missing in Ukraine, the British Foreign Office (28) said on Thursday.
According to “Sky News”, these are two volunteers who joined Ukrainian forces to fight the Russians. However, there is no official confirmation so far.
According to the publication, the deceased British name is Scott Sibley and is a former career soldier.
The UK Foreign Office said it was providing support to the victim’s family and relatives of the missing person and was seeking further information to reconstruct what had happened.
Many volunteers, including ex-servicemen, left England and joined the international legion formed by Kyiv after the start of the Russian occupation. Among them are Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner, who were captured by Moscow troops during the siege of the city of Mariupol and were later featured in a video where they wanted to be exchanged for Russian prisoners.
