A 25-year-old Israeli woman is being praised as a hero at an Israeli collective farm (kibbutz) near the Gaza Strip, Palestine, for protecting the village from an attack by the Palestinian armed political faction Hamas.
According to foreign media such as the British daily Daily Mail on the 10th (local time), Inbar Lieberman (25), a security guard at Niram Kibbutz near the Gaza Strip, led residents to kill about 20 Hamas militants.
Lieberman, who has been working as a security guard in the area since December of last year, heard an explosion in the early morning of the 7th when Hamas’ surprise attack began.
Lieberman quickly realized that the explosion sound was different from the sounds he usually heard during rocket attacks, so he opened the armory and distributed weapons to the 12 members of the village’s security team.
They were then deployed to strategic locations, prepared for an ambush, and prepared for combat, then repelled Hamas militants who had infiltrated the village.
Liebermann killed five Hamas members during the four-hour surprise attack, and his colleagues killed more than 20 Hamas members.
While nearby kibbutzim suffered heavy damage from Hamas’s surprise attack, Lieberman’s operation turned Nir’am Kibbutz into an impenetrable fortress.
As a result, Niram Kibbutz, located about 1.6 km from the border with the Gaza Strip, became the only kibbutz where Hamas militants tried to invade but were repelled.
Ilit Paz, the wife of one of the security team members who went on the operation with Lieberman, told local Israeli media, “Thanks to Lieberman jumping into the operation early instead of waiting, we were able to prevent dozens of casualties.”
According to local Israeli media, praise for Lieberman’s heroic actions is currently pouring in on social media. On social media, “When everything is over, this woman will receive an Israeli award,” “This woman’s heroism will be written in Israeli legend for generations,” and “Thanks to Lieberman, Nir’am is the only one in the area.” Praise continues, such as “Kibbutz could exist.”
