The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) launched a surprise attack by land on October 7 after dozens of its troops fired thousands of rockets at villages across the Israeli border. Subsequently, Israel’s large-scale retaliatory war against the Gaza Strip began.

The fighting has already continued for 9 days, and as of the 15th, the death toll in Israel and the Gaza Strip exceeded 4,000.

The Ministry of Health in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, Palestine, announced that the cumulative death toll as of this evening was 2,670. As Israel continued bombing every day ahead of the deployment of ground troops, the number of injured in the Gaza Strip increased to about 9,600.

Additionally, the number of deaths counted by the Israeli side as of today is about 1,500, and the total number of deaths on both sides is about 4,100.

Israel ordered residents of northern Gaza to evacuate to the south within 24 hours, but is showing a slight change in attitude by postponing the deadline as international opposition and criticism pours in.

However, there are still concerns that Israel, which has declared a large-scale subjugation operation, will somehow destroy Hamas’ stronghold and proceed to ‘occupy’ it.
