US President Joe Biden condemned the murder of a 6-year-old Palestinian Muslim boy in Illinois as a ‘hate crime’.

According to the White House on the 15th (local time), President Biden issued a statement saying, “I was shocked to learn yesterday that a six-year-old boy was brutally murdered and an attempt was made to kill the boy’s mother at their home in Illinois. “He expressed his devastated feelings.

Biden said the victim’s family were “Palestinian Muslims who came to America seeking what we all seek: a refuge to live, learn and pray in peace.”

“These horrific acts of hate have no place in America,” he said. “They go against our fundamental values: freedom from fear for how we pray, what we believe, and who we are.” .

“As Americans, we must unite to reject Islamophobia and all forms of intolerance and hatred,” Biden said. “I have said many times that I will not remain silent in the face of hatred. We must be clear. He repeatedly emphasized, “There is no place in America to hate anyone.”

Biden added that he sends condolences and prayers to the family and the Palestinian, Arab and Muslim American communities as the boy’s mother recovers.

Previously, a 71-year-old male landlord in a residential area outside Chicago, Illinois, USA, brandished a weapon on a 32-year-old Muslim woman and a 6-year-old boy who were tenants of his property on the 15th. A 6-year-old boy died as a result, and the boy’s mother was also taken to hospital with serious injuries after being attacked at her home.

Local police determined that this incident occurred in a remote residential area in Plainfield Township, a suburb of Chicago, and that the mother and son were targeted for crime because they were Muslims, making it a hate crime caused by the Israel-Hamas war.

The murder suspect, Joseph Chuba, 71, is being investigated for several counts, including first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, two hate crimes, and possession of a deadly weapon and assault with a deadly weapon.
