TCL announced on the 1st that it would establish a Korean corporation and officially enter the domestic market.

TCL was founded in China in 1981 and currently operates in more than 160 countries. It specializes in research, development, and manufacturing of various consumer electronics products, including TVs, audio, and smart home appliances.

TCL is introducing innovative products to the market by utilizing technologies such as Mini LED, Quantum Dot, AI, IoT, OS, AR/VR, new materials, 5G, cloud computing, and smart manufacturing. We are making remarkable achievements in the industrial field, such as mass producing the world’s first Mini LED TV.

In 2022, global shipments of TCL brand TVs ranked second in the market with 23.78 million units, while mini LED TVs ranked first in retail sales in the Chinese market and 98-inch TV shipments ranked first in the world. The number of patent applications also stands at 28,736 as of September 2023.

In the Korean market, products were sold through Coupang last year, confirming sufficient potential for success. The C845 series, the highest-spec 4K mini LED TV introduced at the time, caused a stir with all products from 55 inches to 85 inches sold out within 5 minutes.

C845 uses TCL’s core technologies such as Mini LED backlight technology and QLED color technology, and despite its outstanding performance of HDR 2000 nits brightness, it has a low factory price of 2.7 to 2.8 million won, compared to Samsung Electronics’ 2023 model with similar performance. It captivated Korean consumers at a price that was nearly twice cheaper than Neo QLED 4K (QNC83).

In addition to excellent quality, reasonable prices, and innovative technology, TCL meets the needs of customers with innovative designs optimized for changes in consumer lifestyles. In fact, TCL wins design awards every year, and its new product, the TCL 65-inch QD-MiniLED TV C84 series, won the EISA award, and the TCL S6 Series Home Theater Soundbar won the product design category of the 2023 Red Dot Award, a global design award.

LIU REN, CEO of TCL Korea, said, “As an industry-leading home appliance brand and the world’s second largest TV brand, we will captivate Korean consumers with excellent performance and reasonable prices.” He added, “We will keep our prices as high as possible in response to the Korean market.” “At the same time, we will continue to expand our premium TV lineup with high growth potential to meet various needs,” he said.

Meanwhile, TCL opens ‘TCL Official Naver Smart Store’ to get closer to Korean customers.
